I received this beautiful email last week…. Made my day!….I never forget these dogs and it is so great to hear how they are going down the track – or see even better!

Hi Brooke!n

You may not remember Oscar and I as we haven’t been out to you for almost a year. Oscar had surgery at BVSC to replace the cruciate on his left hind leg Sept 2010 and we started physio with you in November 2010.

We had to return 12 mths later and do more work on his leg due to his meniscal cartlidge getting caught in his knee joint.

n

Since moving we have access to lots of hills and a lake where Oscar can go swimming. We haven’t had any issues with his leg in months and I think of you often and all the work you did with us.

n

Yesterday I remembered to take some photos of Oscar whilst he was at his favourite place. This lake is within walking distance of us and we have to go up two decent hills to get there. I take him there at least weekly and he loves it.

n

He hasn’t shown any weakness or discomfort in his knee and I have even taken him a couple of times to Red Beach Bribie Island for an ocean swim.

n

Even though I limit his playing with other dogs and trips to the local dog park are limited to quiet work days it is so nice to have the ability to do doggy things with Oscar.

I am able to bring dogs home from work (Guide Dogs) and they will have small plays but then enjoy each others company relaxing about the house.

Thanks again for all the work you did with Oscar and myself!

Also for his birthday this year we found the same green frog toy he used to play with in the underwater treadmill and it’s still his favourite toy ????
