nI have been working with Luin at NCVS after he was hit by a car in the head a week ago.  Luckily he is a solid boy at 11 months and is starting to make a slow recovery.  He presented to our practice tetraplegic (paralysed in all 4 legs).   An MRI showed a haematoma in his lower cervical spine but no fractures.  Our specialist veterinarian Dr Mitchell decided to manage him conservatively rather than go ahead with spinal surgery.  At this stage I am helping to keep his legs moving and do acupuncture to reduce his pain and aid his healing. With some movement returning in his legs, we are gradually working towards getting him upright this week and starting to get back to the 4 legged quality of life for a puppy that he deserves.
nGoodluck Luin!
