Caesar is a stunning Kelpie (yes I am a bit partial to this breed!). He had a very uncertain future as a puppy with discospondylitis with a lot of pain and difficulty walking. It has taken hard work and time and now he is playing with all the other litter and running as pictured above.

Now there are only very mild proprioceptive and fine motor control deficits (balance/stability and position sense awareness) on left on his left hindlimb. I would like to prevent further injury down the track with this mild weakness as he is such a high energy dog with a long life ahead of him. Caesar’s owner has lots of specific exercises (dog-a-lates if you like) to improve this and is continually working on maximising his recovery.

He is such a happy dog and now getting into his teenage phase it is great we can burn up some of that energy!
