Bonnie came for a visit and tune up on Saturday from Nth Qld. You may remember her story from 6 weeks ago. She was an inpatient of ours at NCVS for over a month recovering from a severe spinal injury and surgery. It took her about a month to start to get some movement in her back legs and intensive physiotherapy. At 3 months she is now walking (albeit with ataxia – uncoordinated gait and weakness) but this is to be expected and I hope she continues to improve. Her owners have shown amazing commitment to manage such a disability at home but if you met Bonnie you would certainly understand why!!
