I have just started my Online consultation.  One of the dogs had surgery at our practice at NCVS for Elbow Dysplasia.  As the owner lives in Rockhampton this was a perfect case to start my online consultations. I have been able to gather enough information (including photos) to have a look at the home situation and send through an extensive home program with links to videos also to demonstrate.
I trust this is an effective way to provide post op advice and rehabilitation for those I cannot lay my hands on and help with their recovery.  If you have any questions regarding this feel free to visit the online consultation section and ask a quick question (for free!)

I am currently updating my website to include online consultation for clients who are not able to access Animal Physiotherapists face to face.  Animal Physiotherapy is a new profession in Australia and it will be some time before we have the volumn of professionally trained Animal Physiotherapists to treat in remote areas.

I receive many emails/phone calls from owners/vets/nurses asking for advice on how to rehabilitate their animals.  It will be possible to attach video footage, photos, or even skype to obtain as much information as possible.  I hope this helps improve the quality of life of animals in remote areas.
