Hi Brooke
I can’t thank you enough for the care you took with Harry yesterday, and the extra time you gave him.
He slept for about 2 hrs when we got home, snuggled up in his pale blue dressing gown. When he woke up he was very happy and energetic. The massage and acupuncture worked wonders for him. This morning he woke us up (first time all week) ready to go out walking and demanding breakfast.
That is why I love my job!

I have just attached a new article I did for the NCVS (North Coast Veterinary Specialists) newsletter on the Acupuncture page on this website. It gives a background for understanding the east and west approach to Acupuncture.
I hope it helps you understand a little more how this 5000 year old method of treatment works.

So I was told this beautiful dog was afraid of needles. He has been suffering from back pain with possible disc degeneration. Alfie's vets and dedicated owner have decided to manage his condition conservatively. Not only does he tolerate his electroacupuncture sessions but he changes personality into 'zen' mode. Combined with physiotherapy, massage, underwater treadmill and exercises at home to improve his spine stability and strength, Alfie is improving nicely. I hope he continues to progress so he can get back to his old self. Well done Alfie for being so brave!

Well summer is almost here. Rosy and Gucci had a lovely relaxing acupuncture session this week after her workout in the underwater treadmill. Gucci with her chronic arthritis in her spine and hips is enjoying the warmer weather and getting to the water more often. If you wonder if acupuncture is well tolerated (she is also having electroacupuncture here)... have a look at his picture! Thanks for my kisses again this week Gucci!
cheers
